Lisa M. here today to share a layout I did for a new challenge group I belong to, Inspiration Elevator. This was our first challenge and to get to know everyone, part of the challenge was to make a YOU layout, what is included on your layouts? Of coarse, if you know me at all, you know I love banners, border punches and twine! These 3 things were included on my layout along with others:

I used Kreaxions 4 In 1 Punch #902 with no insert, added it behind my photo and used the negative
piece for my border.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday

OMG what an amazing response to the blog hop.

So today is a simple layout but the photo needed some grounding..

the punched border was perfect for this. I used Kreaxions Punch #905

which is matted with white to pop it.

Something so little but it makes the page.

Be sure to used those punches you have. Leave them out on your

work table as a reminder that they have

 so many possibilities.

For this Birthday Card I used Kreaxions Punch 916 with insert C, what a lovely-looking punch! I wanted to keep this card for my Gram looking {fairly} simple, so this punch was just perfect!

I added a small pocket to hold the envelope, that will hold her gift card {Shh! Don't tell her!}.  To create the border on the top part of the pocket I used the SAME PUNCH {916}, only this time WITHOUT a plastic insert!

Creating Punched Circles

Hello!  This is Ginni and I would just like to thank everyone for your kind comments on my blog for the blog hop this weekend!  What a GREAT blog hop that was!!!  :)  Today I'm going to feature punched circles. This is a picture of my Mom in 1946 when she was about 17 or 18 with a young man she almost married.  Then she met my Dad and that was the end of that relationship!  When I saw this picture years ago all I could think about was how different things would have been for everyone!  It’s amazing how one decision can make such a difference in so many lives! Anyway, I wanted to keep the nostalgic/heritage feel of this page but the elements in this Fancy Pants' Wave Searcher Line (my June DT kit from My Scraps & More) were way too modern.  So I had to create something that would work.

Materials – All Papers, All Chipboard – Fancy Pants’ Wave Searcher; Stamps, Letter Stamps – CTMH; Inks – Stampin Up, CTMH; Punches – Kreaxions #311 with Template A, Kreaxions #909; Twine – Unknown; Stickles – Ranger; Bling – Queen & Company; Pen – Sharpie

Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #310 reminds me of waves and Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #909 Polar Sun looks like the sun so they were the perfect choices!  I cut a 10" circle and a 9" circle with my Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  Then I used the Kreaxions Stencils on the reverse side of the paper to draw guide lines for punching.  And using the Kreaxions Punchmate made it easy to punch through the papers!  (I LOVE that tool!)  Here's a close up of the circles

Then I used Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #310 for my bottom borders to resemble waves. Here's a close-up of the bottom borders...

I added a little bit of red Stickles to the punched areas to make them pop a bit more.  Then I stamped the yellow at the top, the “sun” and the shells and hearts at the bottom to finish off the page. 

The result is a page that I absolutely LOVE!  So I hope that the next time you need something for your page that isn't provided with your kit that you'll pull out your Kreaxions punches and circle cutter and make your own punched circles!  The possibilities are endless!  Happy Punching!

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday.. & mark your calendar for Friday BLOG HOP

  
  Hi everyone... so today I am working with a

photo that was old but also was cut

 and shaped from being in an oval frame.

Well using the Kreaxions oval templates I

 marked of the closest I could get to the photo and

still be able to border punch with Kreaxions #917.

I backed it with pink to pop the hearts and then

used the oval template again to mark

off an outer oval larger than photo.

This edge I then stitched mounting the photo to 

the other layers I had already done.

This photo looked like it was hanging in limbo

 and needed a border to give

it a base.. so what better than a Kreaxions cut border

matted and edged to match

the colours in the photo matting.

I use fun soft colours from the Momenta papers

and accents that match.

I added a metal key tied off with twine,

popped some stickers for depth, doodled 

the stems of the flowers added some buttons.

Supply List:

Paper: Momenta PA 2375, PA 2376, PA 2384

Stickers: Momenta ST 5159, ST 4909, ST 4915

Punch: Kreaxions #917

Stencils: Kreaxions oval stencils

Metal Key: Blue Moon Beads

The Royalty of a Purple Border

I love punched borders and how does it get better then in a great shade of deep purple?

The flowers are stamps by PaperTrey, Inc. I loved using this yellow and purple color combo for my card.

I pulled out my Kreaxions #918 4-in-1 punch and punched a border.  These punches are easy to line up to get an even design.

Just 2 Cute

Today I want to feature how just a simple added element can take your page to a whole new level.  On this layout about my Mom being silly, I needed a border.  But just a plain border wasn’t enough.  So I pulled out my curvy cutter from Creative Imaginations and just kept thinking “It needs MORE!”  Then I realized that the Kreaxions Punches would be PERFECT for this!  I grabbed Punch #921 and put in Template A and then centered the curve on the punch.  Once I backed the punched, curved paper I added just a little dab of black Stickles and some pen inside to outline and knew it was just the right touch!
